We work with executives from all industries and functional backgrounds. Typically these are executives who have achieved considerable success in their corporate careers. They have reached the top level of their function and are looking to capitalize on the experiences they have amassed in a nimble and flexible way.
We look for people with outstanding operational and business acumen of course, but we focus much of our time and energy on uncovering the intangibles:
EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE
They are interested in making their clients look good. They are motivated to help the organization to succeed and less interested in what this means for their own position or status.
VERSATILE AND FLEXIBLE
Goal posts may shift – this is organizational reality – one must adapt and flex with this.
ABLE TO ENGAGE AND DEVELOP OTHERS
Interim Executives take those in the organization with them – they don’t negatively affect but equally aren’t afraid to challenge constructively. They see the benefit of developing and empowering others.
RESILIENT
It can be lonely. People can often be skeptical, so resilience is key.
STRATEGICALLY MINDED
Generally balanced by the ‘roll sleeves up’ attitude. Clarity about why they are there and how they want to manage their career.
ENTHUSIASTIC
An interim executive needs high levels of energy, as they are often working with teams at their most vulnerable.
From the beginning of the discovery process through to your first engagement and subsequent re-engagements, we are with you every step of the way.
Interviews are a two-step process. If you move past the first interview, we follow with diligence and background checks. Successful executives will join our wait list. The wait list is where we will start sharing opportunities to choose from for your first engagement.
The average engagement is 9 months, but will certainly vary depending on the client, with some running into years. No longer challenged? Change at any time – just let us know and we can find you something new.
When your engagement concludes (and even before) we will start talking to you about the next opportunity. Between engagements our dialogue continues, and you have full access to our extensive professional resources and networking opportunities.
No. All we require is that you register for you jurisdictions sales tax number. Incorporating yourself is a business and personal decision; you should consult with your accountant. We work equally well with independent executives who are incorporated and those who are not.
In almost half of our assignments, clients extend an offer of employment. About half of those offers are accepted. The choice is yours, and we would support your decision and welcome those opportunities. We work with both sides to ensure a smooth transition.
